Hello, Jungle fans and friends. Today I must impart some news that some of you may find saddening: Naughty Jungle of Love
will be playing it's last show on September 9, and will not be playing again after that for the forseeable future.
That's right.
Let it sink in.
No more Jungle shows.
It's not you, it's us. You've been wonderful to us over the years and we hope you'll continue to party with us, and continue
to show us your support as we take on new projects. And take heart, kiddies, because we will be finishing the long-awaited
Album "All Things That Bounce" and actually, we have a lot more time now so it shouldn't take long.
Speaking of other projects, here are some of the things we have in mind:
Jon and Scott will remain in the Studio in Forestville, and continue to record other artists, under the name
Jungle Tone Studio. They will offer affordable prices for CD level and quality sound. Jungle Tone is also available to run live sound for any
sized venue or event. Also, keep an eye on the Videogame Funk website as Jon finishes his solo instrumental album. Their film score production company is in the works and you'll be hearing
their music behind a movie in a theater near you soon. Watch the Jungle Tone website for further development and samples.
Jeff will be fronting Bunta Nuna doing all-original rock. It's going to be a lot different from the usual Jungle fare -- definately heavier -- but you can
be sure that exceptional songwriting will continue to be a driving force. You can see Bunta perform on Sept 2 at 3:30PM at
Crossroads (formerly Grumpy Joe's) in Oakdale, CT (corner of 163 and 82) and on Sept. 10 at 9PM at the Opus theatre in Baltic,
CT. Both shows are all ages, 1/2 hr sets, and will be all-day-all-night events beginning at 2PM. Tickets are $10 call Jeff@860-204-1778
Shawn will be playing with our original singer Tim, our longtime friend Will, as well as Randy, Joe "the Limo Driver",
and Matt Shey. More details to come as they pick out a name and pick up some gigs.
Bart will be home briefly in October, and will eventually be returned to us more permenantly and, God-willing, in
one piece. He still needs your naughty love in far-flung Afghanistan, and we'll continue to forward messages and hellos to
him as often as we can.
Panama Red was reconscripted to serve somewhere in the middle east. After being decorated with a bronze star for
valor, then dishonorably discharged for being caught in the Iotola's Harem, Red went AWOL and is currently at large and wanted
for a court marshall. . . .
So, friends we hope you will come down and party with us one more time at the Oasis. The event will also be Jeff and Scott's
birthday party, and as you all know Birthdays are sacred drinking holidays in the Jungle. That's how it always has been, and
that's how it will always be. Naughty Jungle of Love is a multi-facetted gem, having many faces. Only one of those was the
live performance. Please drop us a message or give us a call -- just keep in touch. The party rolls ever on.
So long, and thanks for all the beer.
